The Board of Directors, Executive Director, Dawn Morgan and office Assistant,
Rose Hammond began a day-long strategic planning process under the guidance of
Dr. Katherine Enger on January 26th in the Great Plains Room at the Donaldson Hotel followed by a second meeting on August 23 concluding the process.

Goals were established in order of importance as follows:

#1-Define populations served and partnerships
#2 Defines the board, committees and personnel
#3 Develop future programming from the vision of committees
#4 Establish financial support
#5 Publicize and market the Spirit Room
#6 Determine future space with ADA compliance

Timeline: All goals will be met by 2011.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Spirit Room is to enrich people’s lives through development and practice of creative, contemplative and healing arts.

Vision Statement: The vision of the Spirit Room is to provide a place where diverse voices find a space to express and create through spiritual and intellectual exploration
and growth.
